Catching Up (March Recap)

One advantage of blogging about your life, is that you get to be reminded of simple things that made you happy, reminiscing the beautiful memories that you want to treasure for the rest of your life and making a bad day (such as today) better...

Hubby and I went to the Cornwall Iron Furnace (Cornwall, PA) on the first weekend of March, I mainly went there to take pictures but of course we did the tour inside the furnace and as much as I don't care anything about Ironmaking, I love how old and historical the place is.

while on our way home we passed by the Hershey Story Museum and Negley Park.

The last engagement photo session with friends was shot at Lancaster, PA...

and I was so happy with the results,doing things that you love is the most satisfying thing ever!

We celebrated our third year wedding anniversary with a simple dinner. Marrying this boy is a dream come true for me, I still remember my 15 year old self wanting to spend the rest of my life with him. I feel so blessed to have him.

We were in New York City for hubby's seminar by the end of March.

What would you do if you were left alone in the city to do whatever you want??

for me..Eat, Shop and People Watching...

and I also get to be with my cousins and spend time with them,

see my cutie pie nephew again with his shake shack fries.

A cousin also taught me how to photograph Light Trails,

this isn't perfect but I'm still proud of myself.

We also get to try Hop Kee on that trip in the city, It's a chinese restaurant that was featured in Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations..honestly, nothing special with the food and the place isn't that nice as well...

but hubby loves it so we'll probably be back there soon...

and the picture above was taken at our local target, I so want this collage frame in our apartment...

Hello My Friends.....I'm Back!!! After a long period of absence, I hope to catch up as I've been out of the loop for a long long time....so here's my uber-late February Recap.....

Last February, I've made a Bikini Bottom cupcakes for hubby's Spongebob Theme birthday Party, Valentine's Dinner was at The Firehouse Restaurant, Another New York weekend for a friends engagement pictorial and we also get to try Grimaldi's which was "the longest line I've waited for just a pizza",but totally worth it...We also get to visit the family in Maryland and for the first time I got to meet my new baby cousin which you'll all going to see on my future posts and get to play with my nephew who loves Donald Duck so much...Babysitting our friends daughter, Isn't she adorable?....I'm still addicted to florals and lastly been busy with Woodpainting....before saying goodbye for now, I have to share my most favorite shopruche lookbook ever...It's kinda late cuz' I know they have a new one right now...but this is just incredibly beautiful to pass up.

I can't believe this is the last day of February, feels like life's been fast forward....I've been surprisingly busy for the past two months....been planning a friends wedding this coming April, I'm also the Maid of honor and Engagement Photographer, the latter which I'm having a lot of fun and weekends were full of gatherings....I missed blogging and chatting with my blogger buddies too..."ladies I'm still alive just too busy...I'm so sorry :("...so here's my update on what my January was like......

On the first weekend of December we helped our friends move to another town,while the guys are busy loading & unloading, I was busy taking pictures.

then on sunday my cousin asked me if I could help him find a nice place to take pictures, so we went on our little adventure, the place that we were supposed to go was closed for the winter, we got lost, no cellphone signal, but we were lucky cuz' we found this....

Holidays wouldn't be complete without a visit to NYC.

On the last saturday before Christmas weekend we had our Annual Christmas Party with Friends...

Our first Visit to Jim Thorpe, PA

Christmas Day was spent with family in Maryland,

On Christmas Eve we all attended the Christmas Eve Mass, had our "Noche Buena"(a filipino traditional dinner on Christmas Eve) and exchanged gifts.....by Christmas Day the relatives came and we had a huge party.

Everyone wants to have a picture with the "Lechon".....

Our Annual Christmas Gift Exchange, it's everybody's favorite cuz' you get to choose your gift & you get to steal someone else's gift if you want...similar to white elephant exchange but the difference was that all the gift was from my aunt....

A few day before new year, I've read somewhere that Boyd's Bear Country in Gettysburg, PA is closing for good....Hubby & I had so much memories there when we were still newlyweds, so we had to visit the place one last time and hoarded a box full of teddy bears..

and spent the last sunset of 2010 in Big Round Top & Little Round Top

at Gettysburg Battlefield....

2010 has been an eventful year for us, it has its ups & downs, happiness & heartaches..I have made precious new friends, new experiences and amazing adventures....

Goodbye 2010, hoping to make 2011 even better....

Me and my family are a big fan of Christmas, I grew up thinking Santa was real and Christmas was so wonderful & magical, I eventually grew out of it but as I get older Christmas has become a big thing for me and now that I'm far away from my family,

I'm starting to make my own traditions...

Me and hubby had our first Christmas Tree this year...

We've been collecting ornaments as a souvenir from our trips for years now so I get to use it this year and added some for my "North Pole" theme tree....

I want our tree to be something that represents us, our adventures, our memories....

We also have stockings this year where we put little surprises for

one another whenever we get the chance.

We went to Crystal Cave (Kutztown, PA) last summer, It was saturday and we can't think of anything to do...

Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire:

Going here was totally worth it....I had so much fun and I got to see and experience a lot of crazy things....

New York City Weekend:

We Finally get to try Shake Shack, the burger was good but a little bit salty...and I wouldn't leave NYC without checking out the huge Forever 21 at Times Square.

For Labor Day Weekend we went to Massachusetts, our first stop was Boston, where we did the freedom trail, dine at Quincy Market, roam around the city and go to a red sox game.

On our second day, we went to Cape Cod...ate at Spanky's clam shack ,

had some gelato at Cafe Gelato Bertini and relax at the beach

I was too chicken to go inside one of the haunted houses (and to think I'm the one who insist that we go there) but I did the Haunted Hayride and waited the whole night for the guys to finish all the attractions...

and a Fall festival in Maryland with the Family

My Bestfriend came to visit us by the end of October, and she really wants to go to a haunted attraction so we brought her to Jason's Woods, another Haunted attraction in the area, now I call her "One Human Stampede" cuz' she was shouting like a mad woman & pushing everyone just to get away...and look...an Ectomobile.

If you're in Pennsylvania, make sure to visit the Amish Country and try the family style dining at Plain & Fancy Farm, it was one of the best meals I've ever had.

For our Halloween Celebration , we went to HersheyPark in the Dark....

Excuse me for my absence...it has been more than a month

WEEK 1
We went to NYC!!This was the same day as the car bomb attempt in Times Square...we really didn't know anything about it...until we got home and I'm sure was glad we got home safely....

then on our way to a friends house we saw a rainbow and I was like "c'mon lets find the end of it" haha...I know I'm an Idiot....

On Sunday we went to Longwood Gardens...it was so beautiful there....
it's a paradise for people who loves flowers...

WEEK 3
Sister and her family arrived from the Philippines....so I played tourist guide....aren't they lucky? they have a tourist guide & a photographer at the same time...but I had fun....it's been years since I last saw them...and my one & only nephew is all grown-up....

We went back to NYC and had one last day to be with them before they go back to Cali....so we went out with cousins and had a great time.....

I was packing all our stuff as we were moving to a different apartment..
it's just a few blocks from our old one but it's much bigger & better....

WEEK 6
Time for our move to a new apartment.....
and for a week I don't have any net & cable access....so I've finished a book for one day and I've decoupage a plastic drawer....what you can do when you're bored, huh'....haha....

I like it so much that now I'm planning to buy the Fira drawer from Ikea and decoupage it....

Samkyupsal Gul (grilled slices of Pork), the food was ok....but the service was great, the waiter was so helpful and the funny thing is at first he was talking to us in korean, I was like what???? he even gave us this steamed egg dish on the house and the best thing about it...the price is so affordable....

after dinner I was so excited to go shopping but then hubby told me he's not feeling well (sucks!) so we went back home instead....major disappointment!!!

the next day we went to church with auntie & uncle....here's raymund playing around while waiting.....

then we had lunch in one of our fave....

They said service sucks here but really I didn't care at all I was so busy eating, hehe....

Today, we were hit by snowmageddon for the 2nd time...the first one was just ok cuz' I wasn't here anyways & we just got like a few inches of snow...but today was much worse...I woke up this morning & took a peak outside...it was zero visibility... this photo was taken in the afternoon, look at how much snow we have....
and it was still windy but not as much as in the morning

I'm so done with snow & I'm now thinking of moving south....

Selina of Cellnique sent me some of their products to try, she asked me what skin concerns do I have and sent me products that are suitable for my skin.

What for:
for excessive dry
deep moisturizing + brightening + age preventing

Description:

My thoughts:
I have a sensitive & very dry skin especially during winter, so whenever I apply new products, I usually get redness, bumps, blemishes & sometimes allergies. so I always go back to my old moisturizer that didn't work well in moisturizing my skin but at least it didn't make my face all red & itchy. Surprisingly submerge me works well on my skin, it's light not sticky at all and absorbs quickly on my skin..at first I thought it was too light to moisturize my skin the whole day but it did, 1-2 pumps is enough for me. what I like about it is that it hydrates my skin without being greasy and it has this pleasant subtle smell...it also brightens my skin and made my skin feel softer but it didn't calm my skin irritations, I still have the red bumps that I had before (before & after pic)
As some of you know, I have been looking (like forever) for a good moisturizer for my very dry skin, and I think I found one but I'm not sure if it's going to be an HG product as I want to try more and I'm looking for perfection...evil grin**

Blackheads & Whiteheads on my t-zone area has always been a problem for me, but honestly I haven't done anything about it. So, I was excited when they sent me this blackhead sebum gel.
I apply this everyday on my nose & chin area before applying moisturizer, and a pea-size is more than enough...it's a clear gel and it has this faint citrusy scent. when i applied it on my nose I felt a stinging sensation for a second then it feels cool afterwards. it absorbs quickly on my skin and it doesn't feel sticky which is so important to me...after using it everyday for 2 weeks what I observe is that all my whiteheads are gone while my blackheads decreased..and my pores on my t-zone are smaller...(yucky photo here) .....I'm sure glad I tried this product it's a must try.

This Mask is said to have the same effect as Submerge me which is moisturizing, brightening & age preventing. it is made of soft cloth which perfectly fits into my wide face and it has a similar smell as silk whitia's but not as strong as the smell would disappear after a few seconds. this mask is drenched with so much serum, I put it on my face for 45mins & it still has so much product after so I spread the excess serum on my neck ..I'm not sure about the brightening or the anti aging effect of this mask but It did hydrate my skin after....so I kinda liked it...

drench me(cleansing gel) & shield me(sunblock & moisturizer) are in trial size so I'm not going to review about it as I don't want to review products that I haven't used for a long time...though I'm eyeing both on the website...and if you want to try bliv by cellnique products visit the website:

This is a bit hard, uhmmmm....well, all I can think of is Ella of Ella Enchanted (Gail Carson Levine)....I first read the book & liked it so much,It's like Cinderella with a twist and it was released as a movie with Anne Hathaway as Ella.
Ella was given a gift of "obedience" when she was born, so imagine your life having to obey everything people tells you to do, what I like about her is because of her curse/gift she became a rebel but without success (haha, that's me!!) she's smart and very good with language which helps her a lot on her adventures. she's brave, sure of herself & her opinions and she has sense of humor, she doesn't need a kiss from the prince or help from the fairy godmother to break the curse, in the end she breaks it all by herself because of her love & devotion for the Prince...classic fairytale right? but this book/movie is hilarious...it's fun to read how she deals with her disability...

I hope this helps, I tried taking some pics of it on my lips but my lips isn't just as nice as angelina jolie's so.....

These lipsticks has a light fruity smell....which I love, it's a bit minty when I wear it or is it just me?....it's hydrating, creamy and glossy but not sticky at all...it's sheer so I have to apply it a few times, packaging is nice, it's shiny pewter & the bottom is clear so you could see what color it is...and available in a lot of shades to choose from, for $12, I think it's a good buy.

Hi!!!It's my first post of 2010, Happy New Year to everyone who I haven't greeted yet..so how did you spend your new year? mine was a bit different from what I'm used to instead of a party at home we just had a simple dinner with friends at the resto and went downtown for the strawberry drop & fireworks and the next day we did the usual thing we always do every new year, go to NYC but this year was more fun because we had mom & some friends with us....

we also spend the last day of the year in the sweetest place on earth, where else? Hershey, PA...
I never get tired of this place, I'm always fascinated with the Hershey kisses street lights & the street names like Cocoa avenue & Chocoloate avenue....
It was also the last day (for this season) of the Hershey Candylane at HersheyPark....

The Sephora Lip Attitude lipsticks are fairly good....the 02 Pink Lover is my current favorite...

I regretted getting the Dior Addict in Jersey Pink...it's just the wrong shade for me...it's not sticky but because of too much glitter on it...I look too pale like I've been wearing a blue lipgloss or I'm cyanotic...

The YSL ROUGE VOLUPTÉ isn't part of my NYC haul, I got it last december but I have to rave about it....It's the creamiest, most pigmented weird color lipstick I've ever had in my entire life..I was so shock that a bright peach coral shade would look good on me plus the packaging is so beautiful....the downside it would look flaky on my dry lips if I don't use lipbalm before applying it...but still I love it and I can't wait to get my hands on other shades...

As some of you know, I love the Holidays....I grew up believing in Santa Claus, I enjoy the parties, I've always been the first one to do the decorating, wrapping and giving gifts & the shopping..(well,It's the time were you can spend too much without being guilty..hehe), I used to plan all the details from personalized cards to making my home look & even smell like christmas...but this year has been different..I didn't get the chance to do most things that I do every holidays or everything were done on a hurry so I get so frustrated at times (me being OC), but at least we still get the chance to be with friends & family....so I'm still Happy:D

I'm back!!!from blogging, that is....it's been a very busy and stressful month for us.....so please excuse my absence, aside from so much things to do and having mom with us for the holidays, I have been procrastinating again.....I'm so sorry but I would really like to thank you all for not bailing out on me and I'm so surprised that I got new followers...yay!!!Thank you.....

Well, it's almost christmas, but I'm not going to post anything about christmas today but instead I'm going to show you all what I got for my birthday from wonderful blogger ladies....

My Favorite Lisa of ShopN'chomp surprised me with guess what???

a little twin star pouch..aawwww....I love it.....this girl know me so well....she even included some goodies on it........I got her package on my birthday & It really made my day....

Lulu of Luluchinadoll who is a sweetheart, also sent me a gift,...she got me so much DIY stuff which is all so beautiful...this girl is sooo talented...

she made me these bows, it's my first time to own such pretty hairclips...

and she also made this bracelet for me which is my current favorite...I'm so happy with everything she got me & I get to try those beauty story masks....yippeee...

and last but not the least
Dina of Voyageur & I decided to have a swap...It's my first ever swap.....she was supposed to mail my package a long time ago but because we are moving I told her to mail it later on my new address....I was so excited when she told me that she already sent the package, she even mailed it express so I got it for less than 10 days...and the best thing about it is that she included a belated birthday gift for me...really, this girl is so generous to me...she gave me something that I really want but couldn't get hold of..........I was so shock when I opened this.....

Hello Everyone!!!!

How's everybody doing? I'm so sorry I've not been updating for awhile, largely because we just moved to a new place and we just got internet connection & now I was told that we are moving again...:( so what have I've been doing lately:

♥I've just finished unpacking all our stuff, even color coordinating clothes in the closet and now I'm packing again.....I'm so elated**sarcasm, I'm just so tired and stressed out....

♥Been Taking a lot of Pictures lately just because I already got my hubby's birthday gift...hehe...

♥Catching up on all the blogs I'm subscribed to..

♥Done with the latest episode of my current fave K-drama...and I don't want it to end....:( I still can't get enough of it....

♥Watched New Moon and surprisingly I didn't like it....don't hate I'm a fan...I got all the books & some merchandise, but I just hate the movie...so disappointing...

♥been haulin' lots of crap lately, I got so excited when I discovered a kawaii store in Pittsburgh....
